  • Why are you endorsing more democratic candidates?
They run to the same donors (lobbyists, big biz, insurance, pharma) as the republican candidates do. Don't think so? Ask your elected democrats how many hours in the week they are required by the Party to raise funds. Where do you think they get those funds? Go to www.opensecrets.org and find out. You may think you are solving the problem by endorsing the dems, but all you are doing is endorsing a corrupt party system. Do you see any of your elected dems giving up their health insurance? How about their rides on corporate jets? Ask them!
Do you understand that in DC the lobbyists don't have to knocking on doors. The elected officials go knocking on the lobbyists and big biz doors begging for donations. Don't think so? They actually send out formal invitations to the lobbying firms and governmental units of big biz asking them to attend their fundraisers!
This system is broken, and you can continue to be part of the problem; or, you can do something different, and be part of the solution.
Find Independent candidates. Help them with grassroot funding, from individuals only. Press for election reform. But please, stop thinking the solution is in electing just another democrat.
