Young Democrats of Arizona needs your support!
Arizona is a state that has transitioned from a conservative staple to a progressive battleground, in a large part due to the rise of the Millennial Generation. Young voters in Arizona voted for Barack Obama over home Senator John McCain and were the margin of victory for many Democrats at all levels of government.
The Young Democrats of Arizona is working to turn out young voters, educate them on the issues, and help win the races by building a new progressive majority.
Every two years the Young Democrats of America hold their National Convention: an amazing opportunity for young progressives across the country to gather together, receive trainings on all aspects of building the movement, and bring back the knowledge and skills to develop young progressive leaders back home.
Too often the expense of such opportunities leads to the exclusion of those who are unable to afford it. These young leaders—the ones struggling to pay the ever-rising costs for their college educations, those spending huge amounts of their income on health care for their families, and the recent college graduates who are unable to find jobs in the Bush economy—will be the core of the progressive youth movement if they are given the chance.
These young progressive leaders need your help.
With your contribution you can send a delegate to the YDA National Convention who otherwise could not afford to attend. If we invest in our progressive youth in Arizona we will be able to achieve the progressive victories that we have all been fighting for.
Please make a contribution to let these young leaders know that political leadership is not solely for the wealthy.
