Dear Friends,

Happy Thanksgiving! As we gather together on this special day let us remember that there is much we have to be thankful for such as our families, friends, and the freedoms that we all enjoy. I am especially grateful and honored for the opportunity to represent Maryland’s 4th Congressional District in the United States Congress. For me, this is also a time to recommit myself to working on behalf of those less fortunate here at home and around the world including the poor, hungry, and homeless.

I ask that we take a moment on this Thanksgiving Day to remember how privileged we are to live in this great nation that so deeply cherishes the rights of liberty and freedom. Those rights are protected daily because of the commitment and sacrifice of the brave men and women of the United States armed forces. In recognition of their service, and all those who work each day to make this country great, I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude.

I look forward to continuing to serve you in the 111th Congress. Thank you again for your support during the past year and I wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
