Who is Corbett Kroehler? PDA Endorsed Candidate FL 8
I fell in love with Central Florida when I moved to the Orlando area to study at Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts (now Full Sail Real World Education). After graduating in 1990 from both the audio and video technology tracks, I turned to the fast growing computer field. In 1998, now married to Catrin Schuetz (Cat), I began work with one of Orlando’s largest banks in desktop publishing and web development.
After the 2000 elections, I was outraged when President George W. Bush shamelessly broke his campaign promise to regulate carbon monoxide. Seeking those of like mind, I became a member of the local chapter of the Nature Conservancy as well as the Sierra Club of Central Florida, where I became Chairman of Energy Issues on the Executive Committee.
My activism led me to the Solar World Congress in 2005 and the International Solar Cities Congress in 2006. I have researched and studied climate change and become a global warming expert. However, I also have learned that advocacy isn’t enough, especially when the opposition are big special interest groups with very deep pockets.
Sweeping new laws and comprehensive changes in policy must be made at the federal level by someone whose only interest is the greater good for not only Central Florida and the United States but also for Planet Earth.
A seat in Congress would be the only way to achieve this.
Once I decided to run for Congress, I published the first volume of my campaign treatise, Progressive Pathway. Covering a wide range of issues from the environment tot he economy to Mr. Bush’s war in Iraq,
the paperback and CD versions are available through Amazon.com and Borders.com
